Ethos is a word used to help characterize the ethics, tendencies, credibility, and trustworthiness of an individual or group. The beauty of Ethos is that it is established organically based on lived experiences and interactions; not stated intentions! 

The human species has been successful because of our ability to form communities and culture. Culture is created from a group of people coming together for a common purpose based on a set of beliefs and aspirations that fuel the work they do. Ethos represents the strength in our character needed to shape these communities and make forward progress.
